Send a message to the person who requested a photo of the grave monument of George Whittingham with the following comment:

George Whiitingham of Castleton, Derbyshire was the informant of the death of my ancestor Alfred Boot in 1849 in Manchester. I am interested to find out more about the connection between George Whittingham and Alfred Boot. Hopefully this may lead to establishing where Alfred Boot came from. Nothing is known about him before 1828 when he married a Hannah Brown in Manchester. The 1841 census only states that he was born 'outside Lancashire'.
